Problems with Yahoo Search Marketing / Adwords

Hello to all of you reading this article about the Problems I have been having with Yahoo Search Marketing / Yahoo Adwords.

The only reason I am honestly writing about this problem is because I have taken every step in giving Yahoo a chance to correct the problem.  So here goes what has been happening.

1st I cancelled my Yahoo Adwords account months ago sometime around October 2008,  I changed my credit card number and everything to make sure they could not charge my card anymore.

2nd I get billed sometime in early February after I have already cancelled my account and they credited my account for the money they billed my previously.  My account Is totally closed and then I just happened again during the middle of April 2009 ???  What the heck Yahoo.

Yahoo Search Marketing sent me an email telling me that they indeed cancel my existing account and my account has not been charged by Yahoo Search Marketing ( Yahoo Adwords ) .  I have emailed them about 6 times since last week in regards to this matter and I have called my credit card company to charge back the charges that I did not approve.

The Problem is that they are telling me that I had 2 Account Numbers with Yahoo Search Marketing but that is nearly impossible.  I cannot understand for the life of me why they would try and pull this Bull Shit and charge someone after they have a Confirmation Email stating that my Previous account has been Cancled and Closed and now they want me to send them my account numbers and Login information so they can look into the matter.

This is the reason that I no longer use Yahoo Search Marketing Services for Internet advertsing, One because I rarely get actual clicks to any of my websites and 2 they generate such a low quality of results when searching in general.

I have only been using Google for Pay Per Click Advertising over the last 7 months becuase of the overall better results and quality clicks that I recieve for both my own personal websites and my clients websites that I manage.

Seo No No - Bad Seo Techniques

Once you start using bad SEO Techniques and No Nos in the Search Engine World you will hurt your rankings and in some cases your website will get completely banned on off the Internet.  Google especially dislikes bad seo practices and once they find out who you are you they will make your website invisible to all searches regardless if you used bad techniques on just on page.

Hidden Links

Hidden Links are when the links are not visible to the human eye but the Link is only visible to the search engine robots.  Basically by adding a hidden link in your website and or website pages it makes it easier for the robots to index pages but it does not allow the Human Eye to see them.

Hidden Links are a Practice know as Black Hat Seo and using these techniques are not recommended unless you want to get your website banned from the search engine giants like Google??  When hiring a company or individual to perform any type of SEO or Search Engine Optimization for your website I would advise you or your company to take a look at some of there work before signing on the dotted line.

I have many sites that I currently own that are in the Top # 2 Positions on Google and I have learned over the years what works and what types of SEO Does Not Work.  When I first started building websites about 5-6 years ago I had no clue what I was doing but all of my websites were user friendly and easy to navigate.  As time went on I started learning the proper ways to increase my website ranking but at the same time I had No Clue about the Black Hat Methods and I sure am glad that I never used those techniques on any of my websites.

Some of the Seo Techniques that I still use today is naming the Pages based on what information is going to be on the page itself.  More or less this means is that If you are going to add a new Page on your site and its going to be about Dogs then I would name the page something like ” http://www.mysite.com/dogs.htm or “http://www.mysite.com/dogs.html”  which is still going to accomplish the same goal when search engines are indexing new pages on a website.

Now there is a lot more to it than just naming a Page based on the information that you will be including in it, there is the Meta Tags, Keywords, Description, Proper Linking within the Site itself, Making sure that the Content that you are writing is Unique and Not Duplicated on another page even if you name the page something totally different.  Never try to trick the search engines because eventually the search engines will catch up to what you are doing and might possibly knock you off completely.

What this means is that if your business is located in Queens NY do not expect to show up under the Local Business Listings in California unless you a Physical Business Address that we can use in California as well.  Google and Yahoo Local Business Listings will provide your business whether or not you have a Website a first page position for certain keywords or products within your local market and once it is set up there are no monthly charges no matter how many people click on your add or contact you for your service.
